The March 2013 report was prepared at the request of the Environmental Quality Board to look at issues related to the silica sand mining industry and prepare information on what is known and what is not known. This report has been chosen to receive a 2013 Notable Documents award from the Legislative Research Librarians section of the National Conference of State Legislatures.
