The Minnesota Environmental Quality Board (EQB) is seeking public comment through Monday, Oct. 16 on proposed amendments to several rules governing the state’s environmental review process.

The EQB has identified about a dozen rule provisions for amendment consideration, including new mandatory environmental assessment worksheet (EAW) and environmental impact statement (EIS) categories for shoreland area development. Other proposed amendments concern the Alternative Urban Areawide Review process, the definition of “sewered area,” and the procedures for EQB processing of citizens’ petition.
