Among the Round Table's chief proposals:
"We were surprised and delighted to see 30 people from such diverse backgrounds as agri-business and the Audubon Society, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and the Minneapolis Phillips Community find consensus around sustainable development," said Round Table co-chair Anita Ryan. Fellow co-chair Nelson T. French agreed: "When people take the time, as we did, to look at how we can make certain our grandkids have a healthy place to live, they find the answers."
Sustainable development ties together the well-being of people and communities, the health and diversity of the environment and the economy, and the quality of life for future generations.
