The meeting of the Environmental Quality Board, scheduled for Wednesday, May 16, 2012, has been cancelled.  The next EQB meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 20, 2012.  The meeting will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., in the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Boardroom, 520 Lafayette Road North, Saint Paul, Minnesota, 55155.

Governor Dayton Moves to Simplify Minnesota’s Environmental Review Process

Governor Dayton’s Executive Order calls for three significant evaluations to be conducted by the Environmental Quality Board, including recommendations on simplifying Minnesota’s environmental review process and governance, which are in line with the recommendations set out earlier this year by the Legislative Auditor.  The order also directs the state to develop an environment and energy ‘report card’ to track the state’s performance and report results on environmental protections.

EQB calls special meeting for Nov. 18, 2011

The next meeting of the Environmental Quality Board will take place on Friday, November 18, 2011. The board will meet from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in the MPCA lower level board room.

The board will continue its conversation on the future direction for the EQB.

Additionally, Mr. John Jaschke, Executive Director of the Board of Water and Soil Resources will present to the EQB on a draft update to BWSR's strategic plan.
