Related works: Back to EQB Water Availability project page. The Water Availability Information Support System (WAISS) was designed to assist in understanding the opportunities and impacts associated with water use in Minnesota. Based on current water permit data, users are encouraged to research the status of water use in a county or sub-county region and to investigate adjacent surface water features, protected features, impaired waters, and other water users. WAISS is one tool to be used in evaluating proposed projects or opportunities for future growth and development. This tool should be used in combination with information generated from other processes, including the DNR water permitting process as well as the environmental review process.
